Very Important Pet Parent Spotlight

Robin Wahby & Bear

What brought you to Florida?
My company, New York Life, moved me here from the Washington, DC area. We love it! That was 20 years ago. I now am a corporate drop out and opened my own firm, Whaby Financial, 7 years ago. We help people with retirement and estate planning needs.

Have you always had pets?
Not always.

Bear with Stuffed ToyPlease introduce us to your Fur Family. How did you meet and become FURever companions?
Bear is a 7 year old British crème golden retriever. He was 4 years old when I got him from a friend. He loves coming to the office every day and being our receptionist. Everyone loves him. During covid, he lost weight and I realized every client at the office must have been feeding him too many treats. At home, I tried to put us both on a diet.

What do you love most about your pet?
Bear is a snuggler and he is fun to play outside with. He loves a ball and we go to the golf course and just have fun. Sometimes we just sit there with a blanket and watch the sky. He is the coolest dog ever.

Bear at the ParkHow has 9 to 5 Pets made your life easier? What do your pets enjoy the most from our service?
9 to 5 Pets makes me feel good that he is getting the exercise he needs on their off leash pack adventures to the beach and park. Being an office dog, Bear doesn’t always get the activity he should. I like that he is around other dogs too.

What are your favorite activities you share with your pet?
Coming to work is his highlight. If clients come in while Bear is out with 9 to 5 Pets, they are bummed out they didn’t get to see him.

Bear with his Pack at the ParkShare a fond memory with your pet:
My brother, Christopher, has cerebral palsy and gets physical therapy. When Bear is there, he jumps on the bed and tries to steal all the attention. Chris laughs and thinks he is great.

What life lessons have you learned from your Fur Family?
They love you no matter what you do! Golden Retrievers are the sweetest too.
