Hello! My name is Becca Cleary and it’s a pleasure to be your Client Service Manager at 9 to 5 Pets. I moved to Jacksonville in August 2021 with my boyfriend, and have loved every minute since. From the activities and events, to the people we have met, we couldn’t ask for more. I have two pets who are my absolute world. We rescued my orange tabby 3 days into living here, and got our black lab mix Luna on New Year’s Day this year! I played sports growing up and have now transitioned to marathon training and golf. Wish me luck as my first marathon is January 2023!
I decided to join 9 to 5 Pets because I was looking to add something new, exciting and rewarding to my day-to-day life. Plus I love animals! I have a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master in Business Administration and am an account manager for a publisher currently, which will help me excel in this role as well. I’m looking forward to working with you all to make sure your fur babies are taken care of by our team.
Hello! My name is Peggy Sammarco and I am a mother of one fantastic son Michael. I lived in Jacksonville for 12 years and moved back up North to be with family for a couple of years. However my heart belongs here in Jacksonville! I moved down in March 2020 to Ponte Vedra working for Starbucks and absolutely love being by the beach. My next adventure will be to Nocatee.
In my free time I love to go to the beach and pet all the dogs I can, and find shark teeth. I love to ride my bike, spend time with friends, and I visit neighbors with dogs so I can give them treats and rubbins. I also like working on fundraisers for the military as last year I was privileged to work on a fundraiser for K-9’s For Warriors.
Pets have always been a part of my life. I grew up with Black Labs and an Irish Setter. When I moved out on my own I had a Doberman and lastly a Rhodesian Ridgeback and hound mix. My love for pets is energizing and it brings me complete joy to take care of them. I became a Certified Professional Pet Sitter 2 ½ years ago but have been caring for pets for many more years before. I am a responsible, organized and dedicated person who wants to share the love and kindness with your fur babies. I joined 9 to 5 Pets to follow my dream and passion to be a professional pet sitter and because of all the core values it stands for. My personal promise to you is to bring you peace of mind by cherishing your fur babies as if they were my own, to keep them safe and their tails wagging. I look forward to serving you!
Hi! My name is Penny Campbell. I was born in Bushnell, Florida but raised in a small town in Southern Illinois. After graduating from Business School in the St. Louis, Missouri area I moved to Southern California where I later graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Business Management along with an associate’s degree in accounting. I also met and married my husband Rich in the picturesque setting of Yosemite National Park with Yosemite Falls in the background.
I have now come full circle by making Florida my home once again in the great city of Jacksonville where I have lived for the past 7 ½ years enjoying everything this city has to offer.
My passions include reading, health and fitness, hiking, horseback riding, and playing with my beautiful fur babies Hedi and Gunner. Hedi is my somewhat stubborn city gal, and Gunner is my laid-back country boy. I’ve also been fortunate to have other dogs and cats in my life throughout the years that will always have a place in my heart.
After recently retiring from 30+ years in accounting/management, I am ready to begin the next chapter of my life as part of the 9 To 5 Pets team. I love that 9 To 5 Pets is all about Professionalism, Convenience, Dedication, Integrity and Love which is why this is a such a great fit!
I can’t wait to meet you and begin my journey in caring for and loving your wonderful fur babies!
Hello! My name is Brenda. I am originally from Londonderry NH. I moved to Ponte Vedra Beach when I was 11 years old. I have never left the area because of the beauty and the people in the community. I have a degree in psychology and my love for people and animals has driven me my whole life. I have always loved to help others and been an advocate for animals in any way I can.
I was the owner of a cage less dog boarding facility located in Jacksonville Beach for many years. “Petlagio” was my life’s passion. I offered boarding in an open environment as well as doggy daycare and in home pet sitting as well. I loved each and every pet I cared for like my own. After long consideration I decided to sell the business and moved on to the medical field.
I explored helping others in a different way but after 11 years I decided to come back to my life’s true passion and care for animals of all kinds. I am so happy and beyond proud to be a part of this amazing organization, 9 to 5 Pets.
I currently live in St Johns county and have two beautiful daughters Angelina 18, and Adrianna 12. They both share my passion and love for animals. I’m married to my best friend Ryan, and have my cat Theodore who is one very big boy. Theodore’s mom chose my garage to have her babies in. I stayed with her during the whole delivery and carefully adopted out all her babies when they were ready and her as well to great families. I fell in love with Theodore and he has been with me ever since. He follows me around everywhere like a dog. He’s my sidekick.
I feel completely blessed to be a part of this team. I promise to care and love your babies as if you and they were a part of my own family.
Hi! My name is Alysia Mencia. I was born in Pennsylvania but I’ve lived most of my life in St. Augustine, Florida. I am currently working towards an Associate’s Degree at St. Johns River State College where I then hope to transfer universities for a bachelor’s in biology in the near future.
I currently have two amazing pups Mila and Jango as well as a 2 year old parakeet named Kylo! Mila is a 6 month old jack Russell terrier mix and Jango is a 5 month old mini Australian shepherd. Both of which have been amazing and have grown to become inseparable from each other!
Throughout my life I have realized that there is nothing more rewarding than the love you have for your pets! It has even encouraged me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Because of this, I have naturally gravitated towards working with all different types of animals. I have lots of experience working with dogs and cats professionally; as well as more exotic pets like fish, birds, guinea pigs, lizards etc. personally through friends and family pets!
What drew me to 9 to 5 Pets was how personal the company really is. The ability to get to know all the pets I meet as well as their families really excites me and feels like such a privilege! Through working with 9 to 5 Pets I look forward to getting to know all of the families in my area as well as your pets like family!
Hello! My name is Alex Ossi and I am a 23 year old recent graduate from Florida State University. I am currently living with my parents here in Ponte Vedra Beach while I work to save money and build up my Real Estate career. I have lived in the same house in Ponte Vedra my whole life, apart from my four years at Florida State. I have always had a very strong connection with animals, having a few dogs, a cat, and a rabbit growing up. I find great enjoyment being around and caring for all animals, which is the main reason I am usually the go-to person for my family and friends when they need someone to take care of their pets. My family’s current pet is our beloved Jake, the 10.5-year-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. He has been the best dog we have ever had; he is such a sweetheart and loves to hunt lizards. We also had one yellow lab, and one black lab (who weighed 120lbs!) when I was growing up.
I have recently joined with Keller Williams at their Jacksonville Beach office and am in the process of building up my Real Estate business. It is a long and slow process, so I decided to earn money and fill up my free time with a second job. I discovered 9 to 5 Pets because I am great family friends with many of the current and past teammates, who have told me countless times how rewarding and great the company is. 9 to 5 Pets seemed like a perfect fit for me, with my strong desire to be reliable and my will to work, paired with my love for animals. I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!
My name is Lauren Bradley, and I was born and raised in the Saint Johns County area. I currently live in beacon lake off of 210 near Nocatee, but I spend most of my time in Ponte Vedra. I also spend time in Atlantic Beach all the way down to Saint Augustine. What can I say, I am a beach girl and always have been.
I recently joined Keller Williams Atlantic Partners at their Southside office as a Realtor. I enjoy the people and the training that Keller Williams provides. We truly are the best company out there. I am currently in the process of building up my real estate business, but it is a slow process. Since I do have free time in the real estate business, I decided I wanted to spend more of my time with animals. I have been around animals ever since I was a little girl. My mom used to have German shepherds which are one of my favorite breeds of dogs, but I really do love all pets. My grandparents had boxers for years which made us get boxers when I was born and we had them up until I was about 10 years old. We adopted 2 chihuahuas that were brother and sister. Unfortunately, the sister passed away a few years ago so now we have my beamer boy who is now 13 years old. He is one of the sweetest dogs I have owned. I also have a 3-year-old cat named Linx that I saved off of the side of the ride when he was about 5 weeks old. I pulled over and he came running up to me, he was just the cutest little boy. My boyfriend also owns a Great Dane and she is VERY energetic, so I tell myself, if you can handle her then I can handle anything haha. I have years of experience caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. I have always had a love and passion for animals.
As a pet owner myself, I can understand having a little anxiety when you are away from your fur friends, but I promise you, at 9 to 5 Pets I will treat your pets like they are my own. I look forward to meeting all of you and your wonderful pets soon!
Hello! My name is Kelsey Leonard. I was born and raised in Georgia on a beautiful farm full of many critters. Growing up you’d more than likely catch me outside. It seems to be a trait I’ve carried on through childhood to my adulthood now. I can’t help but feel motivated and ecstatic about life when I get opportunities to work and be around animals. I couldn’t tell you a favorite because I simply love all things and all animals no matter the shape or size.
I moved to Jacksonville, FL in 2019 to be closer to my younger siblings and pursue a new exciting chapter in my life. I have always loved Florida and what it has to offer such as this incredible opportunity to work with 9 to 5 Pets. Not only do I find myself completely thrilled but I find myself overjoyed. I can work a job with animals, make life a little easier for the fur babies’ parents, and get to live by the beach which is where I love to spend my down time.
On my days off you will find me at the beach with a nice book. Of course I’m lucky to always have company with my own four legged family. I have 3 dogs of my own. There is Kiba who is a 7 month old German Shepherd, then we have two dachshunds named Luka and Violet. Luka is 8 months old while violet is 2 years old. They are all my greatest joy. They add a lot of exciting things to my life which indulge my outside nature. All my time and hobbies revolve around them such as hiking, road trips, trips to the lake, and of course the beach. Although these are not the only animals I have owned. Growing up on a farm, I was around many animals such as horses, cows, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and a camel…yes, a camel! His name is Gobi and he is still kicking around on the farm in Georgia living his best life with his pasture mates.
All in all, growing up on a farm helped make me who I am today. I am fascinated with all animals and strive to care, protect and love each and every one that crosses my path. I have always been hardworking and dedicated to the responsibility and gentle care that comes with animals. So, it very well is a dream come true to be a part of 9 to 5 Pets.
My decision to be a part of 9 to 5 Pets was based on how family-like and welcoming this company is. They really care for each and every animal as if it’s their own. It is their utmost priority to bring comfort to you and your fur babies and I promise to do exactly that and more. I can’t wait to meet all of you!
Hey there! My name is Tristen Lucessi. I am originally from California but moved to Jacksonville in the second grade. Growing up on both coasts I’ve been blessed with the luxury of always being near the ocean. I love the beach and being able to get out of the house and just be a part of nature. Hiking, fishing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and pretty much anything else that gets me out in the sun I’m there for.
As long as I can remember I’ve always had animals in my life. My mother is a bit of a California stereotype, being that she has always lived the “nomadic/hippie lifestyle” which always included a plethora of furry friends. At one point I believe we had something like 5 cats, 2 dogs, a couple hamsters, and an African grey parrot named Peatree. At times it did feel like a zoo, but I wouldn’t have wished for anything else. Having this opportunity to be a part of your pets’, and by extension, your families’ lives is a true pleasure, and I very much look forward to providing all the love and care your pets deserve.
I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat that are my pride and joy! Daisy is the oldest of the pack, she is a 12 year old pitbull still running around like a puppy. Stella is the youngest being 4 years old, and a highly energetic lovable golden retriever mix. Lastly, Luna is the queen of the pack. She is a flame point rag doll and is 5 years old! She really calls the shots and runs the house! All 3 I have had the pleasure in raising and nurturing since they were weeks old.
It has always been a dream of mine since I was little to work with animals. I have lifelong animal caring experience for pets of my own, including family and friends. My first dog was a chihuahua I named lucky and he lived up to 16 years old. When my mom got me him It was my first lifelong responsibility to take care of him, and I learned so much growing up with him up until his last day. My #1 goal will always be treating your pets as they were my own with lots of love and care. I am so ecstatic to be apart of the 9 to 5 pets team! I am a very trustworthy, responsible, hard worker, and will ensure your pets are safe and happy while you are away!
Hello! My name is Caitlyn South. I just moved to Jacksonville Beach from my hometown, Arlington, Texas. I love the location and all the friendly people here; it really is a different environment from anything I’ve ever experienced. For my future, I am looking forward to being a part of the 9 to 5 Pets Team and going back to school for nursing or something science-related.
In my free time, I love to make music – I dabble in singing, playing the drums, piano, and ukulele. I also love to be outside and I’m sure I will practically be living on the beach soon!
I have owned quite a few cats and aquatic creatures while growing up and have also cared for many dogs belonging to family and friends. I currently have a puppy named Fred who is the light of my life! He has inspired me to seek more fulfilling work with animals. I am looking forward to working with 9 to 5 Pets for this reason, and simply because every single person on the team is an absolute gem. I am proud to be a part of a company with such a genuine group of people and a wonderful mission. I hope to bring as much joy to your pets as I’m sure they will to me, and I vow to always be friendly and make decisions with the utmost compassion.
Hi there! My name is Braden and I’m honored to be a member of the 9 to 5 Pets team. I’m 24 years old and a Realtor by profession. However, animals have always been my passion, so this opportunity to spend more time with them along with such a great team is perfect. Being a veterinarian was always my dream growing up, and that’s still an option on the table for me. I have a beautiful American Pitbull Terrier who is my best friend, and is either sleeping or tearing branches off of trees. He’s wild but he’s a sweet boy. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Jacksonville, and have lived in Ponte Vedra my entire life, specifically the Palm Valley area. I love to fish, kayak, jet ski, ride dirt bikes, wakeboard, surf, everything we do here in the Sunshine State. I also enjoy traveling when my schedule allows. I’ve owned and cared for dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, and pretty much everything in-between my whole life, so rest assured I’m well prepared and will go above and beyond to exceed expectations. I’m very excited to get to know you and your animals!
Hi Folks! My name is Terri Willis. My husband and I have relocated to Jacksonville Beach from Fredericksburg, Virginia. I am originally from Port Jefferson, NY and am happy to finally be living once again near the beach! I visited for a week this spring and loved the area and seeing dogs while walking on the beach! I can’t wait to spend some of my free time reading, bike riding, collecting seashells and “dog watching” at the beach.
I am a newly retired teacher of 32 years with a master’s degree in Elementary/Special Education. I began my teaching career in New York and then moved to Fredericksburg, VA where I spent most of my career teaching young children with special needs for 17 years, and then Kindergarten for 15 years.
Growing up our family had a very cool Dachshund named Poochie. After having moved to Virginia my husband opened his own business and we got our first puppy; a six-week-old black lab. We were afforded the luxury of having Montego go to work with him each day. After a few years, Maggie, who was a rescue dog, joined the family. As the girls aged our family had to close the business and they were to stay home while we both went to work. This was extremely difficult for us, but we felt better when they were together. After the girls passed on, we were called upon to pet sit for several friends and family members.
I am excited to become a member of the 9 to 5 Pets Team. As pet owners we weren’t afforded the access to a professional business in caring for our pets when we needed it. I was attracted to 9 to 5 Pets’ professionalism and commitment to families. It is my belief that home is the best place for a pet and being cared for in their own familiar space. I feel that I will be extremely committed and dedicated to working with the whole family! I have spent my life building relationships with children and their families. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your beloved pets!
Hi, I’m Claire! I am currently working towards my Bachelors at UNF. I’m hoping to go to vet tech school once I’ve graduated. I grew up on a farm in a small town in Northwest Florida. I have a lot of experience playing around and working with animals including, but not limited to: horses, goats, chickens, sheep, bunnies, pigs, dogs, cats, lizards, chinchillas, snakes, and fish! I absolutely love animals and hope to spend my life taking care of them. I currently have 2 amazing pups named Roo, an aussie, and Milo, a labradoodle. In my free time, you can typically find us at the park or me at the gym! I really enjoy yoga and weight training. My pups really enjoy the park! I can’t wait to meet all of your wonderful pets and take great care of them all!
Hello! My name is Shelby Harding and I was born and raised in Rapid City, SD but moved to the Jacksonville-area after I graduated high school. I reside in Orange Park with my younger brother, my pit bull mix named Elbow and my black feline, Mandark. I am currently finishing up my cybersecurity degree at St. Petersburg College and also work as a freelance visual artist, making custom audio visual mixes for musicians.
I have tons of experience with all types of four-legged and two-legged friends as I spent nearly every weekend of my childhood out at my grandparents cattle ranch. I fondly remember walking through the pastures to feed the cows their morning corn and running among the chickens. The love and passion for animals has always run deep and my mom is no exception. She taught me almost everything I know about animal care as we spent many years rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need.
As I’ve gotten older and taken on more responsibilities, while my love and compassion for pets has continued to grow, the time available to rescue and rehabilitate has worn thin. This is why I am so excited to be a part of the 9 to 5 Pets team and be able to spend time with your furry friend. It is a dream come true to be able to weave my passion and love into my career and I thank you for trusting me with your best friend and companion. I look forward to meeting you soon!
Hi there! My name is Bri and I am a proud member of the 9 to 5 Pets team! I was born and raised here in Jacksonville, Florida and have lived in the Ponte Vedra area for the last 10 years. What I love most about this area is how pet friendly it is. From dog parks, to seeing everyone bring their pups to the beach, on golf carts and even to outside restaurants! The atmosphere is great!
I was lucky enough to grow up being surrounded by all types of animals…from dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, and horses! I have been pet sitting and nannying in the Nocatee/Ponte Vedra area for the past 5 years and have loved every second of it. I have fallen in love with each family and every pet I have had the pleasure of taking care of and building that relationship with them all.
I am currently in the Bachelors Program for Child Psychology at UNF and was looking for a job in my area where I could be surrounded by animals and 9 to 5 Pets was the perfect place for me! Having 2 of my own dogs right now, one being Toby who is a 17 year old yorkie rescue and the other named Robin who is a 7 year old Pit Bull rescue, they are my world! Having to go away from them is already hard enough at times but I like to make sure they are well taken care of and their routine stays intact!
Having a passion for wellness and fitness, 9 to 5 Pets shares that passion. This team is full of amazing people who share that same passion of pet care. I treat each precious fur baby as I would my own! It takes a lot of trust for someone to allow us to take care of their pet in their home, and I highly respect that. With that being said, I can’t wait to meet many more precious fur babies and make this experience a great one for not only your fur baby but for you as well!
Hello! My name is Leighton, and I am so happy to be a part of the 9 to 5 Pets Team! I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and just recently moved out to the beaches! Although I recently moved to the beach, I have always been a beach lover! In my free time I enjoy surfing, swimming, and being active outside! You can always find me at the beach for sunrise or sunset! I am currently a part-time student at FSCJ and take a few classes online!
My family has three dogs, Rocky, Dobby, and Daisy, and they are absolutely adorable! I have always grown up with pets, whether that be cats, geckos, guinea pigs, or bunnies! I have always loved helping out friends or family when they needed someone to watch their animals when they are away.
My love for animals developed at a young age, which is why I became part of the 9 to 5 Pets Team! I love meeting new people and making connections with their animals because I think it is so important to be active in your community. I would absolutely love to meet you and your furry friend(s) and promise to deliver the best service possible!
Hello! My name is Payton. I’m from a little town in Missouri but was raised here in Jacksonville, Florida. I grew up with my grandparents in a household that welcomed any and all pets. Since I was little, I have always been the one to never shy away from animals no matter the kind. My family would always joke and call me “animal whisperer” because I could quickly bond and I love them all. I have always been drawn to wildlife, the ocean specifically, so it’s a dream of mine to become a marine biologist!
I have years of experience caring for the pets of friends and family, I’ve also worked as a care provider and receptionist at 2 local facilities that provide vet, boarding and grooming services; so I absolutely love being surrounded by pets!
I had to take some time away because we welcomed our beautiful baby girl back in November of 2021. ‘New mom’ life is chaotic but beautiful and it keeps me on my toes!! It’s my pleasure to be a part of the 9 to 5 Pets Team and get back to the world of animals! I look forward to being able to help out and care for your fur babies like they are my own!!
Hi everyone!! My name is Rachel Lauer. I have lived in the Ponte Vedra Beach area my entire life. I just moved back home from Tampa after graduating from the University of South Florida. I’m currently enrolled in nursing school at Rasmussen and I am working towards earning my BSN.
Growing up, my home was always filled with pets. We had three large dogs, and three cats that made me love being surrounded by animals. Although it was a bit crazy sometimes, I wouldn’t trade those memories for the world. Now we have one pup, a Malador Mix named Chance, and two kitties, Milo a rambunctious orange Tabby, and a cutie Tuxedo kitty named Oreo. Ever since I was little I always felt drawn to animals and treated them like family. Having a full house my entire life taught me a lot about animals, how to care for them, and how every pet has their own unique personalities.
My decision to join the 9 to 5 Pets team was based on how personable the company is, and their strive for providing the best possible care for your pets in every visit. It has been a life long dream of mine to work with animals, and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my day than hanging out with your best friends. Being a pet owner myself I know what it takes to trust someone else with your fur babies. I promise to take care of you pets as if they were my own, which means extra snuggles and unconditional love!
Hi! My name is Emily Delaere. I was born and raised in St. Augustine. I have lived in this beautiful area my entire life. I am working toward my Associate in Arts degree at Saint Johns River State College. From there, I plan to enroll at a university and complete a bachelor’s degree in biology. I have been around animals my entire life. Growing up I had dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, horses, chickens, and geese. Being surrounded by animals influenced me to choose biology as my major. In my free time, I love to read, embroider, and cook. I also enjoy numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, tubing, fishing, and swimming. I joined the 9 to 5 pets team because I love working with animals. This job gives me the opportunity to bond and care for your pets. I’m excited to meet all of you and your fur babies!
