What brought you to Florida?
Florida offers all the wonderful year round activities I enjoy and Sawgrass is a special community. Not only does it have wonderful amenities and access to the beach but the people here are kind and caring which creates a unique environment.
Have you always had pets?
Yes
Please introduce us to your Fur Family. How did you meet and become FURever companions?
Gus is a black 12 year old standard poodle I have had since he was 10 weeks old. He is joined by his 2 year old brother Henry. Henry is also a standard and raised as a puppy.
What do you love most about your pets?
Gus is the sweetest boy who greets you bearing gifts. He is very easy going and tolerates Henry’s antics. He has been known to clear a counter if anything appears to be appetizing.
Henry is also a sweetie but needs a lot of activity to keep him happy. He loves the beach and a vigorous ball fetching session every morning.
How has 9 to 5 Pets made your life easier? What do your pets enjoy the most from our service?
9 to 5 Pets has been wonderful during my recovery from knee surgery. Very few can tolerate Henry’s enthusiasm for the beach and tossing the ball. Everyone who walked him was terrific.
What are your favorite activities you share with your pets?
Walking the beach early in the morning and sitting on the back porch relaxing. The boys rarely leave my side. They are quite the companions.
Share a fond memory with your pets:
Snuggling on the sofa with little room.
What life lessons have you learned from your pets?
When someone asked my dad how he was, his reply was, “If I was a dog, my tail would be wagging.” It is always nice to be greeted with kindness and a smile or a wag of your tail.
If you had to wear a T-Shirt with one word on it for a year, what word would you choose?
Believe
If you could instantly become an expert in something what would it be?
I have found it is best to be generally informed and leave the rest to the experts.
What is the best gift anyone has ever given to you?
Love and time.
