What brought you to Florida?
Originally born and raised right here in Jacksonville Beach, FL. My pups and I moved away to Mankato, Minnesota for a little over a year for a job promotion as a nurse practitioner. We all missed home and our family so we immediately moved back for a new job. I’m currently working as a nurse practitioner doing Otorhinolaryngology (the study of diseases of the ear, nose, and throat).
Have you always had pets?
Yes always had pets growing up.
Please introduce us to your Fur Family. How did you meet and become FURever companions?
Roni is a 13 year old, healthy miniature schnauzer. She had a sister named Pepper so they were Pepperoni that passed away at 13 about 4 years ago. She loves to be outside and has always been my snuggle bug. Roni was acquired from Craigslist in 2008 as I was graduating from FSU. She is such a good dog and is still thriving at 13! Her nicknames are Ronbug and Stinkaroni.
Jamison is a 6 year old male chihuahua who has a big personality in a small body! He weighs all of 3.25 pounds soaking wet. That doesn’t stop him from keeping up with us on walks or chasing his big sister Annie. Jamison has been mine since he was 8 weeks old and rescued from a backyard breeder, along with his mom and 3 other siblings. His nickname is Bubba LuLu.
Annie is my baby and biggest nugget. She is a 3 year old F1B Goldendoodle. She is about 58 pounds and it’s the cutest thing to watch her and her brother play. Annie is super smart and full of life. Everyone outside is out to see her of course! And her favorite activity is playing ball with her favorite blue rubber chuck it ball!
What do you love most about your pet(s)?
My pups are my babies. They go with me as much as possible. It brings me such joy when I come home from work and they are so happy. I love their personalities and how much they love to be loved.
How has 9 to 5 Pets made your life easier? What do your pets enjoy the most from our service?
9 to 5 pets has made my life easier by giving me peace of mind while I work long days knowing my babies are loved and taken care of. It’s also good to know they can stay at home while I’m out of town and be happy in their own environment.
Kinsey is my usual dog walker and she is great! Always sending me the cutest, happiest pictures of my nuggets. They love her too as do my neighbors!
What are your favorite activities you share with your pets?
We love to go for car rides and walks. My favorite is snuggling them each individually in the morning when I first wake up.
Share a fond memory with your pets:
The most recent fond memory is our move to Minnesota and back to Florida with me and the 3 pups. It was a fun adventure in the 20 plus hour car journey and the stops made along the way. Also seeing them explore snow and lots of it for the first time.
What life lessons have you learned from your Fur Family?
How to enjoy the simple things in life like family, the outdoors and stopping to smell the air!
If you had to wear a T-Shirt with one word on it for a year, what word would you choose?
Happiness – always choose or find the happy in life!
If you could instantly become an expert in something what would it be?
Gardening. To be able to understand various plants and how they thrive would bring such joy and benefit to my life with being able to produce my own fruits and vegetables. Think of all the beautiful plants and flowers one could have!
What is the best gift anyone has ever given to you?
Time. Time spent with family and friends is the best gift. You never know when it might end.
