Very Important Pet Parent Spotlight
Lauri Ott, Moo, Sancho, Napoleon and Esteria
My job brought us to Sunny Florida.
Have you always had pets?
Yes, since I was a baby.
Please introduce us to your Fur Family. How did you meet and become FURever companions?
MOO- Bull Terrier: He was rescued from an abusive home and was taken in by the rescue that we were part of. We were his fosters and he was a foster failure. He was happy with us, and so he stayed.
SANCHO – Bull Terrier: He was a puppy from a Puppy mill in PA and was rescued from the puppy mill at an auction. We adopted him.
What do you love most about your pets?
Napoleon has a Blue Dog toy (he has had since he was a kitten) that he carries all over the house while meowing.
Esteria loves to have her belly rubbed over and over again.
Moo gives a Million kisses
Sancho hates to sit. He will either stand or lay down…sitting is not his thing.
Christine is WONDERFUL. I do not easily trust people with my babies and we had not left them for 4 years since we moved to Florida until we met Christine at 9 to 5 Pets. She truly cares about our Fur babies and treats them as her own when she is with them. She has given me peace of mind to travel for work .
What are your favorite activities you share with your pets?
Very simply we love to just be with them…
Share a fond memory with your pets:
Each of their Rescues holds a place in our hearts. Being able to make their life better is the best memory we can have.
What life lessons have you learned from your Fur Family?
Forgiveness. Each of our rescues had a tough time prior to being with us. Animals forgive and love. They don’t hold grudges. They accept you as you are and love you.
Compassion
If you could instantly become an expert in something what would it be?
How to Prevent/Cure Alzheimers
My mother taught me to treat everyone with respect. She also passed on to me her never ending love for animals. Those are the greatest gifts anyone can ever receive.
